Dimitrios Tsiftsis

General Surgeon - Emergency Medicine, Managing Director, Head of Emergency Department, G.H. of Nikaia “Agios Panteleimon”, Greece

Dr. Dimitris Tsiftsis is a general surgeon with a supra-specialty in Emergency Medicine and a long hospital career in the Greek National Health System (NHS). He has assumed positions of responsibility throughout the hierarchy of the Greek NHS and served one term as the President of the Hellenic Society for Emergency Medicine. He is the Managing Director of the Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Nikaia. He is a member of the board of The Mediterranean Academy of Emergency Medicine (MAEM) and The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine (WACEM). He has numerous presentations in national and international congresses, publications in peer reviewed journals and he is an international collaborator in the Reid Lab for Innovation in Population Health at Yale School of Medicine. His main practice and research interests focus on ED operations and management.
