Stavros Antonopoulos, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Pediatrician specialized in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and serves as Director of the Emergency Department at “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital in Athens, Greece. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained his specialty in Pediatrics in 2015. He has extensive clinical experience in secondary and tertiary pediatric care, with a focus on the management of critically ill children, acute pediatric conditions, and the organization of emergency services. He holds a PhD from the University of Peloponnese on the application of technological and digital interventions in pediatric care and vaccination practice. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS Full Instructor), neonatal and pediatric resuscitation. He has coordinated preventive pediatric clinics and is actively involved in the education of physicians, nurses, and medical students. His academic work includes more than 80 presentations in national and international conferences and participation in research projects combining clinical pediatrics with digital health systems. His main interests focus on pediatric emergency medicine, patient safety, medical education, and the integration of innovative technologies into everyday clinical practice.
