Christos Roilos

Chief Director, 2nd Regional Health Authority of Piraeus & Aegean Islands

Christos Roilos was born in Athens in 1966. He currently serves as the Chief Director of the 2nd Health Region of Piraeus and the Aegean. He is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, supervision, and oversight of 24 National Health System hospitals and 262 primary healthcare facilities operating within the jurisdiction of the Region, which includes Western Attica, Piraeus, and the Aegean islands, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficient service delivery. During his professional career, he has held several senior administrative positions, including serving as the Coordinator for the Cultural Capital of Europe “Patras 2006”, Director of the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital of Attica, and Director of the U.G.H. “Attikon”. Mr. Roilos has extensive experience in senior management roles, particularly within institutions and organizations in the healthcare sector. His professional experience reflects long-standing expertise in healthcare administration, organizational management, and the coordination of large-scale public health services.
