Grzegorz Waligora, MD, PhD, is an emergency physician and academic leader based in Poland, serving as Head of the Emergency Department and Residency Program Director at a university medical hospital. He is a Board Member of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM) and Regional Representative for Europe, and chairs both the IFEM Regional Forum Group and the IFEM Technology Special Interest Group, which he founded to advance evidence-based integration of emerging technologies into emergency care. His work within IFEM spans across research, core curriculum development, specialty implementation, trauma, and quality and safety initiatives. Dr. Waligora has held senior roles within the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and contributed to international collaboration through multiple global organizations. He has been faculty at successive International Conferences on Emergency Medicine and European scientific congresses. As an associate editor and journal reviewer, his scholarly focus centers on innovation, digital health, and systems improvement, with particular emphasis on translating novel and emerging technologies into safe, effective, and scalable solutions for acute care practice.
