Jim Connolly is the immediate past President of the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM). He serves as an Emergency Medicine Consultant in one of busiest Trauma Centres in the UK. A pioneer in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), he is the Course Director of the EUSEM “Pre-course: Ultrasound beginner” (first course in 2025). In 2024, he was a recipient of a Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) Medal for his services to Emergency Medicine.
