He is specialized in Internal and Emergency Medicine, as well as in Disaster Medicine. He is the Director of Disaster Medicine Academy, Global Network in Emergency Medicine (GNEM Academy), Boston, U.S.A. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of Osservatorio CBRNe (OSDIFE), Roma, Italia, Advisor in the Resilience Advisors Network (RAN), U.K./Ireland, and a member of the Italian Civil Protection (Protezione Civile Italiana), Montebelluna, Italy.
